Rock-N-Water

If you are looking for a summer retreat for high school or jr high, I would suggest checking out Rock-N-Water. http://www.rocknwater.com/

Yesterday we spent the day there and had great food, an incredible time white water rafting, and the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. We got on this raft and our guide was named Jansen, who was completely out of his mind but the best guide ever. He ran us into rocks, nearly bumping people out of the raft, and putting us into the best pockets of rapids. Every time we would look back and watch the other rafts do similar things they never really did them with as much intensity as we did. Thank you Jansen you were the best!

Also they have a beautiful camping area underneath the trees right next to the river, so you are away from the city and the grind, and out in the middle of God's creation.

Most of the time people who live out in the middle of no where seem to become kind of like carni's... if there is anyone reading this from the middle of no where, obviously I am not talking about you! I was concerned that they were going to be a little odd in their theology and a little too "christian culture" for our group. But when we talked to everyone they just have a passion to get kids out away from the computers and the indoors, and get them to experience all of what creation has to offer.

Even though they are a little crazy on the admin side (needing big deposits way in advance) I am real excited to bring my high school to this place in July. I really think they are going to love the beauty, the creation, and the atmosphere is great.

Unfortunately I forgot the camera and my cell phone went dead so I don't have any pictures to post. It was good fun though, and I highly recommend it. Sorry Scott and Christin that you werent able to come, you missed out but I am sure you are having a great time in Orlando instead.
