The Times They Are A Changin'

It is 9 am on Monday morning, its raining, and I am sitting in my kitchen listening to Dwight Pryor thinking of the great words by Bob Dylan, "the times they are a changin.'" There is so much going on in my life right now that it is amazing in both an awe struck sense and a nervousness. It is because of all this change I have been unable to write on this blog. Some of the big changes have been starting school for my masters degree in marriage in family therapy, Andi is about 8 months pregnant with our first child, and yesterday was my last day as youth pastor at MVCC.

In many ways I feel completely blessed to be walking through all of these changes because it feels as if God is preparing me and shaping me to become the person he desires. I also feel like Abram when God told him just to go, and there wasnt much direction beyond trust and follow me and I will lead you. God has been faithful to us in so many ways that I cant even begin to list all that He has done. It because of this Andi and I both know that we are following the living God who takes care of those he loves.

In other ways I feel completely foolish for stepping out in different ways without knowing what God has planned and not having anything set up for our family. Its an interesting tension for sure.

I hope to be able to blog a bit more, however, with school and getting ready for a new baby and trying to find a job I dont think I will be able to post much but I will try to when I can. I am not sure who even reads this anymore but if there are a few out there, thank you for your patience.

God is faithful, and what a liberating and foolish feeling it is to follow him! But, God calls us to be faithful what ever that may look like in your life at this moment, not successful. Have courage and be faithful.

Dusty-Kipp and I were so happy to be at your party yesterday. I know that had to have been a day with mixed emotions. We car about you and Andi so much. We can't wait to meet your baby! Peyton is giving me kicks right now. I think she is saying Hi baby- I can't wait to be your friend.
